摘要：India’s state wise CO2 emission between 1980 and 2000 is estimated from their fuel usage patterns. It is found that coal is the most important source of CO2 in all the states. The relationship between per capita gross state domestic product and CO2 follows an inverted U-shape. The shape is totally dictated by the inverted U-shaped relationship between per capita gross state domestic product and coal consumption.
