摘要:This special issue of Critical Studies in Improvisation / Études Critiques en Improvisation on sexuality emerges from academic papers, film and creative work presented at the symposium Comin’ Out Swingin’: Sexualities in Improvisation held at the University of British Columbia in November, 2007. As a set of interventions in the discourses of sexuality, corporeality and aesthetics, these texts approach the complex and fraught terrain of orientation and sexual identity through various lenses and methodologies provided by the practice of musical improvisation.
