摘要:The new “Licenciatura em Ensino Básico”, in Portugal, derives from the adaptation of teacher education programmes to the Bologna Process. Its novelty in relation to traditional programmes requires: i) clarification of the concept “basic education” and corresponding professional profile; ii) implementation of formative strategies intended to foster the development of an educational competence considered to be a key issue in this profile. At the University of Aveiro, the project approach was elected as a strategy oriented to the objective to be accomplished, though some legal regulations constrained the curriculum development of the study programme.
