摘要:With the fall of the metaphysical foundations of reason, comes the necessity of revising the education in the allegory of the Platonic cave. For this, we seek support on the Hegelian phenomenology of the spirit – stoicism, skepticism and unhappy consciousness – despite the historical distance that separates the two educative experiences. To Hegel, the education of the spirit can not occur like the metaphor of the stubborn boys (skepticism or stoicism), because it leads rightly to the development of the unhappy consciousness. The solution might be in the articulation of these elements in the recognition idea. However, considering the situation that those ones trapped at the bottom of the cave find themselves, we believe that there is not such education spirit yet, although we can not say the same about the presence of Philosophy. The question is whether this opposition is also contributing to trigger the failure experiences in education today and also how it is possible to articulate these devices so that the recognition do not be denied.
