  • 摘要:Pump characteristics H(Q), P(Q) and η(Q) provided by pump manufacturers in the form of test results or in situ examination results carried out by measurement companies describe pumps functioning in the so called first quarter ie. in the pump functioning area. They allow to calculate pump parameters in other points of such area for a rotation speed different than the nominal one. However, sometimes pumps function in untypical areas. This is due to failures, as a result of startup with large pressure on the pump discharge flange or an existing non-zero flow (during paralell operation or with positive geometric head), when using pumps to disperse energy (during periodical work in serial system) or to retrieve energy in turbine mode. The quantitative and qualitative description of those parameters for all possible functioning states is included in the universal pump characteristics. These characteristics, described in literature, concern pumps with just a few specific speeds. The article presents characteristics of pumps with yet unpublished specific speeds.
