摘要：To grasp the meaning of the original language is the first step in translating. Interpersonal meaning is one of the key point in understanding the meaning of the original language. This paper examined the different expressions of interpersonal in English and Chinese, including the different system of mood and modality in both languages. Based on the analysis, the paper examined the translation strategies, especially the strategies about the interpersonal meaning.
