摘要:This article sets out to discuss the insertion of management theories and practices in the curricula of Library Science Courses. In this sense, we deal with historical aspects of curriculum, with the aim of recovering the evolution of management in the context of library science, as well as organising a survey of the syllabi of 26 courses in Brazil, with the objective of identifying how the subjects of a management character are being made available and what is the background of staff who teach these subjects. We propose a reflection on the problems faced by library professionals in managing libraries and assuming management functions. We conclude that Library Science Courses need to rethink the lack of synergy as well as interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity between the fields of Library Science and Management.
