摘要：This paper discusses regulation and policies for public information, in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. It analyzes the municipal legislation on this matter and identifies and qualifies sectors and people in charge of production and dissemination of public information, in the municipal government of Salvador. Besides studying the areas under direct control of the Mayor, the paper analyzes the sectors related to Health, Education and Transport. The core conclusion is that the municipal policies on public information all over the local government are operated mainly by the Secretary of Administration, through two of its sectors. They are not executed by a specific sector in charge of communication and information.
