摘要:Much has been written about the challenges that accompany increasing diversity in educational institutions in many Western societies. To deal with these challenges, the idea and practice of inclusion has figured prominently in educational reform initiatives over the past few decades. One major development has been the trend towards stronger school community partnerships that are geared towards empowering and enabling all parents to participate more actively in school. Research to date suggests that principals have a very important role in nurturing these relationships. Based on the findings of a study among principals, this article explores how school leaders promote inclusive community involvement in diverse contexts.
