摘要：In organization theory there are different theoretical perspectives that treat and explain the design of organizations and their complexity, understanding the impact of the environment differently. In this theoretical article based on a rough bibliography review, it aims to analyze three of the main perspectives: contingent, voluntarism and strategic choice. So, as a conclusion, the idea remains that while contingent perspective significantly influence the design and the features of the organization, considering primarily the environmental factors, other intrinsic and determining factors attributable to its members, managers and directors, who also play a role in determining how the strategies are created, decisions are made and structural designs are carried out to achieve organizational objectives. Therefore and because of the intern pressures as well as the environment are subjected to organizations, such prospects will be more useful if we observe as a complement and not exclusive when understanding and proposing solutions to what is happening in and around those
