摘要：This study intends to investigate factors related to social gerontology and the new society conformation. The objective is to identify the current relation between third sector and Brazilian population aging process (considering economical, demographic, social, cultural and familiar relation characteristics), and service management for the third age. For data collecting internet research was used, trying to identify third sector institutions that work which third age inside São Paulo City. Other kind of data was collected through interviews with people using a specific script. Researches on media, documental and bibliographic analysis complete the work. The results have showed that the third sector actions are incipient and this opens a new area for deeper studies
