摘要：According to Ordinance n. 2914 of the Ministry of Health, water for human consumption should meet specific standards of quality. Microbiological, physical and chemical analyses were performed in samples of water offered to the population of Itaperuna /RJ in order to verify the conformity of water quality with the parameters set by the regulatory act. Results were observed based on the parameters established in Ordinance. The analyses showed bon-compliance of some samples regarding levels of chlorine, but no incidence of total or thermotolerant coliforms.
