摘要：This paper explains how the evolution of Sanitation in Brazil has historically happened in the water and sewage supply systems, since one cannot deny the importance of that essential service to any civilization, and how its shortage has impacts on low human development in different areas. Within this context, the National Plan for Sanitation Quality (PNQS) presents the bases and requirements addressed by the organizations, as well as their role in improving such an indispensable service to humanity, disseminating and raising responsibilities in organizations with criteria of excellence.
