摘要:This article presents the research results on multiple forms of labor in the Amazon under the aegis of government policies in civil-military regime launched in Brazil in 1964. The article embraces two strategies of analysis: 1- the social conflicts in the Amazon related to the policies and government institutions whose main interest was to control the land occupation occupied by the workers; 2- the importance of several records that witness violence against workers and the occurrences of conflicts in Araguaia in the area covered by the Prelature of São Félix do Araguaia.
