摘要：In order to protect natural areas, creation of Integral Protection Conservation Units in Brazil requires public domain and state possession of land, leading to land regularization confl icts with previous owners. Th is work proceeded documental and legal analysis of such procedures, as well as produced primary data based on interviews, regarding to depict the land regularization problems and needs of Desengano State Park, to evaluate public managers' position, and to suggest alternatives to confl ict mediation or even solving.
