摘要：Although the registers of human being presence in the Southwestern region of Goiás state exceed thousands of years, only the marks of the last decades had been basic in the extreme transformation of landscapes. And the environment configuration was very important in the phases presented by this changes process. This can be evidenced with the analysis of Jataí’s landscapes configurations, from the description of shapes of lands use and the vegetal covering found in the end of 1960’s, 1970’s and 1990’s years, and its relation with the support elements of natural landscape: the geologic formations, the relief shapes and the types of soils.
