摘要：O uso de graded readers na sala de aula pode ser considerado uma abordagem eficaz para o ensino de vocabulário, leitura e fala ao discutir um texto de literatura. Alguns pesquisadores (Fischer, 2012; Coracini, 2012; Alonso, 2012) já argumentaram a favor do uso de graded readers na sala de aula de inglês como língua adicional. O presente artigo pretende discutir o uso de graded readers, mais especificamente para alunos básicos, no contexto do Programa Idiomas sem Fronteiras (IsF). O trabalho se divide em três partes: a) uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o uso de graded readers e a literatura no ensino de línguas adicionais; b) uma descrição sobre como um professor utilizou graded readers com os alunos; e c) uma discussão sobre a eficácia do uso de graded readers para alunos básicos. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************ The Use of Graded Readers in Teaching English as an Additional Language in the Languages without Border Program The use of graded readers in the classroom can be considered a new approach to teaching vocabulary, reading and speaking while discussing the text accord. Some researchers (FISCHER, 2012; CORACINI, 2012; ALONSO, 2012) have already argued about the use of graded readers in the ESL classroom. This article aims at discussing the use of graded readers in the context of the Languages Without Borders Program (LwB) more specifically for basic students. This paper is divided in three parts: a) a bibliographical review about the use of graded readers in foreign language teaching; b) a description of how one teacher used graded readers with the students and c) a discussion about the results of the project.
