摘要:The aim of this study was to compare three different sit and reach tests to determine hamstring flexibility protocol in physical fitness test batteries for boys and girls. The subjects of this study were 218 children who were 112 boys (8,74±1,52 year) and 106 girls (8,70±1,65 year). The standard sit and reach test, the V sit and reach test, the modified back saver sit and reach test, and passive straight leg raise were administered for participants. Pearson Correlation Coefficient Analysis was used to determine the relation between hamstring flexibility with goniometer and three different sit and reach tests. Significant positive correlations were found between the hamstring flexibility and all sit- reach tests (p≤0,05). Modified back saver and V sit and reach flexibility tests showed a higher correlation with hamstring flexibility than standard sit and reach test. The results indicate that, V sit and reach flexibility test and/or back saver sit and reach flexibility test can be more useful than standard sit and reach test to determined the hamstring flexibility of children in physical fitness test batteries.
