摘要:The aim of this study was to determine the epistemological beliefs levels of the female students playing futsal and to investigate differentiation of their epistemological beliefs according to some variables The research was conducted based on the general survey methods and performed on 10 university team’s 109 players participating in group matches of University Futsal Championship organized in Selcuk University on the date of 1-4 April 2008. Epistemological Beliefs Questionnaire which was developed by Schommer (1990) and adapted to Turkish by Deryakulu and Büyüköztürk (2002, 2005) and personal data form were used in the study. It was determined that the datas show normal distribution. T-test was used for the comparison of binary clusters and One way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used for the comparison of three or more clusters. Significance level was 0,05 for the statistical analysis. As a result of this research, that was determined that “the belief of learning depends on effort” and “the belief of learning depends on ability” of epistemological belief dimensions of female futsal players are advanced level more than their beliefs that there is only one unchanging truth and each of three dimensions of epistemological beliefs did not show improvement according to section, age and grade level. The significant differences was found on the dimensions of “the belief of learning depends on effort” and “the belief that there is only one unchanging truth“ according to thinking levels of whether the sport activities are important in education.
