摘要：The paper studies congressmen work in their districts/constituencies once elections have taken place. Special attention is given to the degree of congressmen autonomy with regard to their parties. Two are the goals of this paper. The first goal is to offer a description of the types o activities of representation that congressmen carry out in their districts. The second goal is to explore the determinants of congressmen degree of autonomy. The cases chosen are political parties from Bolivia and Chile.
