  • 摘要:The aim of this study was to describe and analyze the impacts of distance education (DE) in the formation of professional competences of students of graduate in Accounting from two private institutions, as perceived by the subjects themselves. The theoretical framework discussed professional competences, the national curriculum guidelines undergraduate degree in Accounting, distance education and moodle platform. This dual case study is characterized as descriptive with quantitative and qualitative approach. Data collection was done through a questionnaire with closed and open questions, which were properly filled by 201 students. After tabulating the data it was found that higher percentages of students satisfied with the development of their professional competences through more in classroom learning than activities related to distance education. The advantages of that kind of education were pointed out the increase of knowledge and information in the area and optimization time. It was felt the need for training of both teachers and students to use the tool and better explain the development of activities. Given the findings and limitations of the study, an agenda for future research was drew up.
