摘要：The theoretical developments of the strategy area have traditionally been influenced by the modernist paradigm that assumes a belief in the stability, homogeneity, predictability and control. However, the complexity and fragmentation of today's world has put new challenges to the study of organizations because the prevailing paradigm has not offered appropriate responses. Faced with this reality, the objective of this theoretical essay is to discuss the possibility of using the postmodern episteme to analyze the theory and practice of strategy. The theoretical contributions of several authors of the field are used in order to highlight the underlying content of the argument, such as truth being subjective, relative and detailed. The theoretical contributions of this paper point to a better understanding of the new competitive landscape and the many meanings of the word strategy, and the application of theory into managers’ practice, since it becomes a reflection of the local reality.
