摘要:Considering a gap in competence approaches, this research seeks to understand and analyze the relationship between social capital and the development of collective competences, in the context of work teams. A qualitative-quantitative exploratory study was designed, through the case study method. Two companies were selected: one that has a program for competences management and formal teamwork processes and another that does not meet this criterion. Semi-structured interviews and content analysis were used. Techniques were used semi-structured interviews and content analysis. It was expected that the organization with the competence program could have a better performance in relation to the creation of social capital and the development of collective competences. However, the results show that both organizations have similar levels of social capital that promote the consolidation of collective competences. The reasons for this fact can be explained by the strong identity of the working groups analyzed, especially in relation to the organizational environment, daily routines, shared norms and values.
