摘要:This article, a theoretical essay, aims to present how the transformations of contemporary society have influenced the daily lives of individuals, especially in the professional aspect. Articulating the concepts of late modernity and liquid modernity to discuss the contemporary notion of career, we conclude that people are the ones responsible for its success or failure, and are also compelled to take a new approach characterized by questions about their skills and abilities, how to make themselves more attractive to the labor market, how to conciliate personal and professional life, and how to support this eternal anxiety and restlessness, which seem to be their only certainties they experience in the changing society. We discussed how the individual-organization relationship, as well as other relationships, including affective, assumed a character in convenience can be easily broken. In a sense, both parties need to recognize that this bond is fragile and can be broken at any time. Not that this feature was not already apparent in previous scenarios, but it may not be so evident in the past.
