摘要:Mass media has a major impact on the (re) formulation of identities, concepts, and prejudices that move around in society. This impact is aggravated when referring to minorities, such as the young blacks. Therefore, initiatives that seek the recovery of identity and citizenship are very important and urgent. In this article we intend to explain how the issue of blackness was developed in the Project Newspaper and Radio in UFJF: Land of Opportunities. In the radio workshop, the young people chose themes related to their daily life, produced and presented the programs. Blackness was one of the recurring themes. Through the discussions and productions, we believe that the radio workshop has contributed to the appreciation of the black culture and to the adolescents’ awareness of their citizenship.
