摘要：The article is part of an on-going research project on the critical-interpretative media subsystem (CIMS) that presents the bases for analysis of this object: the presentation of key elements for a critique of media critique; the role of specialized critique as part of a broader system of social commentary on the media; the premise of structural possibilities for a critical system as part of the continuities and tensions between media processes and society; and a critical stance, based on the components of the CIMS, which focuses the "logic" that is articulated with the object under critique. The principal results of the research undertaken to date are presented based on these propositions and the limitations identified during preliminary analyses.
