摘要：This paper aims to summarize the passage of the American geographer Alexander Hamilton Rice, Jr. (1875-1956) by region of Rio Branco, current state Roraima. This geographical expedition, conducted between 1924-25, produced material for the study of the region, as well as a rich report produced a major film and photographic record of the places and people of the region, then known as Brazilian Guiana. Here we approach the work published in Portuguese which reproduces part of the report, entitled “Exploration in Brazilian Guyana”, published by publishing house Itatiaia and the University of São Paulo, in 1978, the collection Reconquer of Brazil.
