摘要：This article has as aim expose some considering on the Law 10.639/03 that institutes the obligation of teaching African and African-Brazilian history and culture in the schools, and their literature. It is intended discuss some points about the Law and its practice, specifically on African Literature teaching, because most studies have only addressed to the History teaching and forgotten the African Literature in its cultural context.
