摘要：This paper aims at ranking the factors that can lead to the failure of an Information Systems Project (Process Driven Issues, Context Driven Issues and Content Driven Issues). Factors affecting failure of IS projects are identified based on a thorough literature review. Data is collected through a questionnaire consisting of three parts. The ranking of the factors show that projects fail to achieve their intended purpose due to several factors namely; high degree of customization, changes late in the design stage and underestimating the timeline. It is recommended that professionals should pay close attention to factors that contribute most to the failure of IS projects in their organizations.
