摘要:This paper intends to discuss the use of the gender concept in the classroom and their peer acceptance difficulties in the teaching of History. It also aims to question its relevance to the History subject itself in school. The concept of gender relations consolidates itself in the midst of the struggles and feminist demands for equality and rights, with the support of the Cultural and Social History. It has been widely discussed in academic circles, including not only History but other areas as well, e.g., Geography and Sociology. However, despite all the debate, the efforts to broaden these discussions are still timid and ineffective for a society that insists on maintaining essentialist, simplistic and segregationist views and postures, when it comes to being a man or a woman, particularly, by faculty members at schools.
