摘要：This article presents and discusses the first steps of the research "History Teaching and narratives: the teacher and persuasion in the classroom", developed in the Post-Graduate Program in Education from UFRGS, at doctoral level, under the orientation of Professor Dr. Fernando Seffner. Starting from a reflection on the Teaching of History and analyzing the narrative character of history, through authors such as Hayden White, Peter Gay, Jörn Rüsen, Paul Ricoeur, and Walter Benjamin, we want to understand what strategies are used by teachers in building their classes. We are interested in understanding what style and narrative elements compose a historical discourse able to get the support from scholars, starting from New Rhetoric references. In this analysis, what we propose is an art, the narrative on the creation and subjective lived experience (in this case, historical experience), understanding how history teachers prepare the historiographical knowledge in their classes. This development seeks to negotiate the gap between the past and the time of the student, creating moments of enchantment to the power of the word.
