摘要:In this paper the mobility of prehistoric hunter-gatherers is discussed from an archaeological perspective. An exhaustive analysis of the available data related to the temporal and spatial distribution of coastal elements found in the inland grasslands is undertaken in order to use them as mobility indicators. Potential models of territorial organization are compared to two hunter-gatherer ethnographic cases: the Nukak from the Tropical Rain Forest of Colombia and the Selknam from Tierra del Fuego. The confrontation between the available archaeological evidence and these cases is non-conclusive, no one model being supported more strongly than another. However, some of the evidence does make possible discussion of in situ coastal resource exploitation and its use in daily foraging trips.
