  • 摘要:This article deals with the analysis of the partial results of the project titled Virtual Museum of History and Education. It has as object virtualization Abilio Barreto Historical Museum (MHAB) and as main objective, to analyze the limits and educational possibilities of the Abilio Barreto Historical Museum, in the virtual environment, to construct historical knowledge by children. We sought to understand the phenomenon through research supported by documentary evidentiary paradigm of Ginzburg (1989). The concept of virtual was based on Levy (1996) and analyzes about the museum founded in Ramos (2004), in view of building a new understanding of the environment museum and digital environment. The text is divided into two parts: the first one works the concept of virtual museum and stands museums as mediators that enable the construction of historical knowledge, and the second part presents some issues raised from the virtual tour MHAB. Discusses also the approximation between museum and education with a focus on teaching history, to then arrive at these conclusions partial data. The virtual museums have possibilities as to immediate access, even if it is difficult to access by physical barriers and enables new forms of interaction and, consequently, new ways of learning. Given these analyzes, the museum presents itself as a space where individuals can be recognized as belonging to their environment by observing the past.
