摘要:We initially present, through a bibliographic research, the paths taken by "less taught" indigenous history and cultures. The focus of the discussions permeates the contribution of "indigenous peoples" in building the Brazilian cultural diversity and lies in the richness of the theme in question. However, based on the authors’ life experiences, this paper discusses literature, cinema, and music as "alternative languages" for the teaching of History. Thus, by contributing with strategies, we expect to enable the inclusion of issues related to indigenous histories and cultures in History teaching and learning processes.
