摘要：Resumo A especificidade parasitária, áreas de fixação, hospedeiros naturais, índices de infestação e variação sazonai de Argulus multicolor e Argulus pestifer foram estudados durante o período de março de 1979 a março de 1980, no Janauacá, um lago de várzea da Amazônia Central. A sazonalidade revelou estar relacionada com a variação do nível da água. O pico máximo de infestação de A. multicolor ocorreu na estação cheia (junho, julho) e o mínimo na estação seca (novembro). O A. pestifer apresentou um padrão de sazonalidade inverso ao das demais espécies, seu pico máximo de infestação ocorreu na estação de seca (novembro, dezembro) e o mínimo na cheia (junho, julho). O A. multicolor apresentou uma certa especificidade parasitária ocorrendo em quatro espécies de peixes incluídas em duas famílias, Cichlidae e Serrasalmidae. O A. pestifer apresentou alto grau de especificidade parasitária, sendo restrita à duas espécies Pseudoplatystoma tigrinum e P. fasciatum. Coletou-se o A multicolor parasitando a cavidade bucal e branquial e o A. pestifer a superfície externa do corpo.
其他摘要：Summary Host specificity, attachment sites, infestation rates and seasonal, variation of Argulus multicolor and Argulus pestifer were studied during a one-year period, from March, 1979, to March, 1980, in the vicinity of Janauacá, a lake "várzea" in Central Amazônia. Seasonal variation was found to be closely related to water levels, with the maximum infestation peak of A. multicolor ocurring during high water (June & July) and the minimum peak during low water (November). A pestifer showed a pattern of seasonal variation inverse to that of the other species studied, with the maximum infestation peak ocurring during low water (November & December), and the minimum peak during hight water (June & July). A. multicolor showed a certain host specificity and was found in four fish species representing two families namely: two species of Cichlidae and two of Serrasalmidae. A. pestifer showed high host specificity and was found to parasitize one genus, Pseudoplatystoma and two species P. tigrinum and P. fasciatum. A. multicolor was found parasitizing the branchial and buccal cavities while A. pestifer was found on the sternal surface of their respective hosts.
