摘要：A historiographic revision of the Praieira Rebelion, a liberal rebelion that took place in 1848, expression of the conflits among different groups of the Northeast and reflex of the imperial politics in Brazil. The development of the revolt in Pernambuco and Paraíba, and the cause of the choice of the city of Areia by the rebels as one of the last focus of resistence of the moviment.
