"Abbreviations for Hemingway Works" created for The Letters of
Ernest Hemingway. With this issue of The Hemingway Review we will be
adopting the Cambridge system as our "house style."

Abbreviations for Hemingway Works created for the Cambridge Edition of
The Letters of Ernest Hemingway as our "house style." We are
grateful to Sandra Spanier, General Editor of the Cambridge Edition, and
to her team for creating and sharing such a useful tool--printed below.
In an editorial following the Cambridge Abbreviations, I offer some
reasons why, in my opinion, it should become standard across Hemingway
