Note from the editor.
Kreiswirth, Martin
For the last little while, I have joined Dawn Trouard and taken on
the editorship of The Faulkner Journal. My central interest in Faulkner
has been supplemented (but not necessarily enriched) by my position as
associate provost and dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at
McGill University. More relevantly, perhaps, I am a professor of English
and also work on literary theory and narrative theory in
interdisciplinary contexts.
I am pleased to say that recently Joseph Urgo, Faulkner scholar and
president of St. Mary's College of Maryland, has assumed the
position of co-editor.
We will maintain our goal of publishing the very best academic
scholarship on Faulkner and his context, in both special issues
focussing on topics (with guest editors), such as the most recent
Faulkner and the Metropolis, and in general issues.
The Faulkner Journal is interested in the full range of academic
inquiry revolving around the widely construed literary and cultural
phenomenon known as "William Faulkner." We will consider
author-oriented studies, notes, theoretical explorations, and so on.
We look forward to your contributions.
