This book was originally published in 1992 but has been updated and re-released in view of the New Democratic Party's success at the polls. Grant Notley, as leader of the NDP from 1968 to 1984, was much admired as a man but he could never swing Alberta voters to the political left. However, his daughter has achieved that success in the elections of 2015. This book provides some excellent context for understanding the party and the groundwork that has led to its success.
