Letter from the editor.
Dale, Larry R.
We are extremely pleased to present this issue of the Journal of
Economics and Economic Education Research, an official publication of
the Academy of Economics and Economic Education Research, dedicated to
the study, research and dissemination of information pertinent to the
improvement of methodologies and effective teaching in the discipline of
economics with a special emphasis on the process of economic education.
The editorial board is composed primarily of directors of councils and
centers for economic education affiliated with the National Council on
Economic Education. This journal attempts to bridge the gap between the
theoretical discipline of economics and the applied excellence relative
to the teaching arts. The Academy is an affiliate of the Allied
Academies, Inc., a non profit association of scholars whose purpose is
to encourage and support the advancement and exchange of knowledge,
understanding and teaching throughout the world.
The Editorial Board considers two types of manuscripts for
publication. First is empirical research related to the discipline of
economics. The other is research oriented toward effective teaching
methods and technologies in economics designed for grades kindergarten through twelve. These manuscripts are blind reviewed by the Editorial
Board members with only the top programs in each category selected for
publication, with an acceptance rate of less than 25%.
We are inviting papers for future editions of the Journal for
Economics and Economic Education Research and encourage you to submit
your manuscripts according to the guidelines found on the Allied
Academies webpage at www.alliedacademies.org.
