Editorial perspective.

As an editor of 'Paradigm' my first goal was to clear the
backlog of publications and regularise upcoming volumes. In order to
achieve this goal, we decided to bring out this combined issue of
"Paradigm" for 2013. With this issue, we are now able to
publish forthcoming issues up to date. We are making our sincere efforts
to accomplish this and believe that researchers from academic fraternity
and policy makers would keep on supporting our efforts in order to bring
out quality research in management discipline.
This issue of 'Paradigm' focuses on different arenas of
management: marketing, finance, HR, law, International business etc.
Each one of the papers is imperative and describes thoughtful research
orientation in various management aspect. The editorial board of
Paradigm thanks all researchers for their contribution and choosing
Paradigm as a platform to publish their valuable research work.
In the changing market scenario, it is prerequisite for marketers
to understand consumers' needs, segment them and vary their
offering accordingly. The paper by Banerjee and Pawar examines one of
the complex markets, the kidswear market in India and applied cluster
analysis technique to segment this market. Another paper by Charles
contributes towards behavioural finance and examines the influence of
investor's age on investment decisions.
Service quality and customer satisfaction are regarded as most
important aspects in relationship marketing. Next two papers, by Goswami
and other by Singh focus on these dimensions of marketing in context of
online banking and public and private hospitals.
Gloabalisation is making impact on almost every industry, be it
management education or trade. Next paper by Singh attempts to study
implications of changing paradigm on management education. Paper by
Malhotra and Vadra analyses the trends and changes in the composition of
exports and imports of Indian trade with Singapore in last 20 years.
Global financial crisis has made cascading impact on economies
across nations. Taneja and Bansal investigates the various sectors in
India which are affected by financial meltdown. Worldwide, another
impact which is influencing business environment is green or environment
friendly movement. Globally, businesses are entering the green
marketplace at swift speed to keep pace with customer and societal
demands to lessen their environmental impacts. Paper by Trott examines
the impact of green core competencies on green image and green
innovation in Indian automobile industry.
Good disclosure about corporate governance practices gives
investors a solid understanding of how decisions are made that may
affect their investment. The aim of Panchasara and Bharadia's paper
is to study the corporate governance disclosure practices of the Indian
banking sector and correlate them with financial performance.
With the advent of technology, there has been increase in
cyber-crime rate in India. Despite the presence of Information
Technology Act, 2000, there are several crimes which are unaddressed.
The next paper by Kaur and Aggarwal deals with examining this
Information Technology Act, 2000 and put forth their recommendations on
same.
Next paper by Srivastava examined the impact of efficient market
hypothesis on both the fundamental and technical analysis in Indian
Commodity Market. Last but not the least this combined issue comprises
of review of one of the most interesting book on communication
"HBR's 10 Must Reads: on Communication" authored by
Bhalla.
Finally, we sincerely appreciate the authors' contributions,
