Abstract: Using the adequate modules of a built ERP software system
adjacent with a FMC system, increases the efficiency in production
programming. It was developed a new software system composed from an ERP
web application for technological resource management and the database.
In description of the new software system were considered the database,
the software modules and their functionalities together with the part
features and the modules interfaces.
Key words: software system, ERP, management.
1. INTRODUCTION
The paper come to present the practical method of using the
informatics ERP systems formed from software application and database,
integrated with a technological system FMC for machining. In the paper
are shown the interfaces of component modules of the ERP application
developed in the doctoral activity by the author, the part designed to
be manufactured in the FMC system and the work-flow of ERP application
for technological resources management in FMC for machining. The
presented practical work-flow in the informatics system enable the
increasing of manufacturing efficiency integrated with technological
resources management.
2. INFORMATION
It was observed a need for automation and centralization for the
activities of production planning and for communicating the useful
information to FMC level. It appears the possibility for increasing the
efficiency in resources management from a FMC for machining by building
a centralized software system for assisting the production. The software
solution is a useful tool in resources management, in building the parts
manufacturing technology, in planning and tracking the parts production.
In the activity of analyzing the needs of a FMC system for production
planning were identified the component modules of the ERP application
corresponding to practical functionalities and work flow.
2.1 The Flowchart for ERP software system
In the next image is presented the flowchart for ERP software
package and data base operational structure. The primary activity
consists in data management of technological resources from the FMC. The
data management is done in the Production Basis module. The secondary
activity consists in composing, on the input data about resources, of
the parts manufacturing technology. The parts technology is done in the
Technology Module. The third activity consists in machines status
monitoring. The machines status monitoring is done in the Machine Status
module. The fourth activity consists in parts production planning. The
parts production planning is done in the Production Planning module. The
fifth activity consists in generating reports for production launching
and tracking. The generating reports for production launching and
tracking are done in the Reports module.

2.2 The Reference model of manufactured part
The Reference model of manufactured part was designed for
reflecting the complexity of machining on the CNC Tool Center DGM Gildemeister TWIN102 (DMG,2006; Vlase, 2002). The manufacturing of the
reference model part supposes complex machining for turn rough,
threading, milling, drilling, polishing. For manufacturing the reference
model part it is considered a cylindrical bar piece made from iron
rolled with a brake resistance of 42 daN/[mm.sup.2] (OL 42 STAS 500/2-80). The part design was the starting point in selecting the
adequate machining and to compose the FMC referential model. The ERP
software system was developed using the analysis of the components and
activities from the FMC referential model. The analyzed components and
activities were defined the features, functionalities and modules of the
ERP software system.

2.3 The modules of the ERP software system
In Fig.3 is presented the interface of the Production Basis module
where are managed the data about machines, robot, parts, pieces,
possible machining in the FMC. In Fig.4 is presented the interface of
the Parts Technologies module where are composed the parts manufacturing
technologies by selecting the machines and completing the working
parameters. In Fig.5 is presented the Production Planning module where
are introduced the starting and finishing date for the production and
also the number of parts to be manufactured together with the reference
to the part manufactured technology. In Fig.6 is presented the interface
of the Machine Status module where is maintain the machines functional
status. In Fig.7 is presented the Reports module where are generated the
reports for production launching and monitoring. From each interface
presented is possible a generation of an Excel file report containing
the data currently available in the database on the specific topic. The
application was developed in VisualStudio2005 and SQLServer2005 using
the engineering programming methodology of analyzing, designing,
implementing and testing. Also it supposed a technological study of FMC
production systems.
3. CONCLUSION
It was defined the general utilization framework of the ERP
application. There were presented the component modules of the ERP
application for resources management in FMC, with their functionalities.
There was presented the complex part designed to be manufactured in the
referential composed FMC for machining. Overall there were made original
contributions by forming the referential FMC and building the software
system made from ERP application and database. The contributions are
conducting to an increasing of the efficiency of work in planning,
organizing, managing and tracking/ monitoring the production in FMC for
machining. Next is intended the development of the entire software
system in an assembly of modular software product useful to different
industrial partners.
