摘要：Este texto objetiva refletir o entendimento de atividade física e saúde a partir do discurso do sujeito coletivo, identificando e analisando as categorias originárias à luz do mito de Ulisses e as sereias, presente na obra clássica Odisséia, de Homero. A compreensão da atividade física e saúde, bem como do mito de Ulisses e as sereias dá-se, respectivamente, a partir de uma pesquisa de campo com foco na metodologia do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo (DSC), de Lefevre, Lefevre (2005), e de incursões teóricas por referenciais das ciências humanas, em especial, Adorno, Horkheimer (1985), que fazem análise do referido mito. Os dados, coletados a partir de entrevistas realizadas com praticantes de caminhada em um parque da cidade de Maringá, atentam para a predominância de um discurso da atividade física e saúde revestido de uma racionalidade instrumental que impede o homem de conhecer o chamado para outras dimensões do humano.
其他摘要：This text has as objective to reflect the understanding of the physical activity and health, through the collective subject speech, identifying and analyzing the categories of Ulisses and the mermaid myth, present in the classical Odyssey. The comprehension of physical activity and health, as well as the Ulisses and the mermaid myth, was performed through a field research focused in the methodology of the Collectives Subject Speech (DSC), of Lefevre, Lefevre (2005), and through theoretical incursions by references from the human sciences, in special, Adorno, Horkheimer (1985), whom have analyzed the mith. The data from interviews that were made with people who practiced walk in the park in the center of Maringá city points the predominance of a instrumental rationality that forbid the man to know the calling to other human dimensions.
