摘要:A common concern in Institutions of Higher Education (HEI) is to keep the former students involved with educational activities, understanding that the promotion of relationship beyond the period of the course provides opportunities for networking and continuity of knowledge generation process. Alumni Associations are formal organizations aimed at strengthening ties between HEIs and former students but in Brazil, these associations are facing some cultural barriers that make it difficult their deployment. Thus, an association that seeks alumni participation should invest in developing a strategic action plan that arouses the interest of the target audience. Based on a survey combined with documentary research, this study aims, through benchmarking, to analyze the practices of Alumni Associations of HEI and present a strategic action plan that meets the current needs of the market.
