摘要：In this translation with commentary of the short story “O Cônego ou Metafísica do Estilo” by Machado de Assis, we reveal the project that guided our translation, give information about the context of our project, provide a brief analysis of some aspects of the story that caught our attention, and discuss some translation problems and strategies.
