Aberdeenshire City Council, Petitioners, in respect of CW Sheriffdom of Grampian, Highland and Islands at Aberdeen Sheriff P Mann 28 January 2011

This was the written Note following the sheriff's decision on 6 December 2010, to refuse an application for a permanence order with authority for adoption.

Inverclyde Council v MT and MS Court of Session, Scotland Lord Pentland 8 February 2011

The judge granted applications for three children for permanence orders with authority for adoption under section 80 of the 2007 Act. The children were already placed with prospective adopters in England.

East Lothian Council, Petitioners, in respect of LK Sheriffdom of Lothian and Borders at Edinburgh Sheriff Principal E F Bowen Edinburgh Sheriff Court 8 March 2011

This was an appeal against the granting of a permanence order with authority for adoption. The Sheriff Principal remitted the case to the same sheriff, for him specifically to consider the 'grounds' for a basic permanence order, as set out in section 84(5)(c) of the 2007 Act.
