NOTES staff news. We welcome two editors to the staff with this
issue. Alec McLane (Music Librarian and Director of the World Music
Archives, Wesleyan University) is the new editor of the "Digital
Media Reviews" column. He follows Stephen Davison, whose
resignation as column editor was announced in the December 2002 issue.
Alec completed undergraduate studies at the Berklee College of Music and
holds graduate degrees in music composition and library science from the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has taught computing
applications in music.
Tracey Rudnick (Music Librarian and Liaison to Dramatic Arts,
University of Connecticut, Storrs) assumes responsibility for the
"New Periodicals" column. Tracey completed undergraduate
studies at the University of California at Davis and holds graduate
degrees in library science and musicology from the University of Texas
at Austin. She has written reviews for Notes and published articles in
TMLA Quarternotes, Connecticut Libraries, and UConn Libraries. Tracey
succeeds Margaret D. Ericson, whom we thank for her well-written and
thoughtful reviews.
