AUW and Reading University signed a Partnership during the second visit of the delegate from University of Reading. The first visit was in December, 2010 to explore future possibilities of collaboration. The second visit was in March 2011 & involved meetings with different department and for development of joint research application between the two institutions. The delegates included Professor Steven Mithen, Pro-Vice Chancellor for International & External Engagement, Elizabeth Reed, Regional Development Manager-Africa, Reading International Office, Dr Tabarak Musa Awad Ballal, Deputy Director for Teaching & Learning School of Construction Management and Engineering, Dr. Ruth Evans, Lecturer in Human Geography, Dr Sarah Cardey, Lecturer in International Development, Colin Campbell, International Study and Language Centre & Clare Furneaux from the Department of Applied Linguistics.
