AUW Regional Institute for Gender, Diversity, Peace and Rights (RIG/DPR) hosted then third international conference on Migration, Gender and Diversity in Eastern Africa International Conference at AUW, 3-5th May, 2011. The conference is part of the Edu-Link program on African Migration and Gender in Global Context--Implementing Migration Studies which is a joint research project on African Migration and Gender by Makerere University, Kampala/Uganda, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Uganda, Ahfad University for Women, Omdurman, Sudan and Oldenburg University, Germany. The project is funded by the ACP-EU cooperation programme in higher education EDULINK, it runs from October 2008 to September 2011. The conference was attended by over 50 people from different parts of the world and Sudan.
