AUW Launches the AUW Regional Institute of Gender, Diversity, Peace & Rights (RIG/DPR). Over 300 guests attended the Launching of the Regional Institute of Gender, Diversity, Peace and Rights (RIG/DPR) which was held in collaboration with the Norwegian Government on the evening of Monday 19thJuly. The celebration also included the commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the passing away of the AUW founder, late Professor Yusuf Badri. The event included an exhibition for the different contributions and some of the possessions of late Prof Yusuf Badri and the RIG/DPR publications. There were speeches by Prof Gasim Badri, President of AUW, the Norwegian Charge De Affairs and Prof Balghis Badri, the Director of the RIG/DPR. A video of the life of Yusuf Badri was presented and the nice cool evening was concluded with songs performed by the renowned singer Mr. Abuaraki Albakhit accompanied by the AUW student's choral and a song by the choral with Mr. Mustaf Shareef of the AUW.
